OFFSET IS FOR HIGHER QUANTITIES – Offset printing is used for larger print runs because the plates cost the same to make no matter what quantity the print run. This makes it more cost efficient for large orders.
DIGITAL WORKS FOR BOTH LARGE AND SMALL RUNS – The value in going digital is its versatility. Both large and or small runs, digital printing can accommodate your needs. Another value added is digital can quickly produce one off proofs unlike offset which would require more time to create because of setup.
DIGITAL – The largest piece that can be printed digitally is 14” x 20”. If you are creating something with a flat size larger than that, it becomes an offset print job, no matter what the quantity you want printed.
OFFSET – Typically offset presses largest sheet is 28″ x 40″, however there are over-sized offset presses that can run 59.5″ x 80.7″. Be sure to check with your printer to know what capabilities they have. If you have a job that is larger than the sizes mentioned, you are going to be looking for large format printing (banners, posters and window graphics).
DIGITAL – While the quality of digital is good, the paper used is more standardized for the machine. Check with us to see the available paper stocks. Digital paper stocks have only a range of stocks available.
OFFSET – If you are looking for the highest quality printing available, offset is the way to go. Furthermore, the printer has much more control over the ink distribution, therefore ultimately leads to a higher quality print.
DIGITAL – If you’re choice is to go digital, ultimately you’re buying speed. It’s an affordable way to market and customize your materials
OFFSET – Typically you have a larger budget for high quality and high-volume printing.

SWOP is the abbreviation for the revised Specifications for the Web-Offset Publications. These specifications are for color separation films and color proofing for consistency of color.
